What does counting on mean?
Counting on is a beginning math strategy where learners start with the biggest number (or a predetermined number) and count on (count up) from there.
This Counting On What Comes Next Number Sense Activity set includes 73 different task cards where children are given a specific number or quantity and need to figure out the two numbers that come next. This is a great way for children to learn to count on because children naturally want to start from one when counting, and with these activities, they start from a higher number.
I would suggest printing on cardstock and laminating for longevity. If you do not want to print in color, select grayscale on your printer selections.
