Oh, it's just Wednesday and it's already been a fun week! I should get a gold star or a cookie for blogging so much in one week. Haha! I wanted to share with you a few Valentine pics that my team and I are doing this week. We all do different stuff and we are totally cool with that. I am lucky enough to get to take pics of it all. ๐
First, here is Casey's classroom. Her class made these super cute heart people that she hung from the ceiling. Our teammate, Paula, showed us this super easy trick for putting things up on the ceiling WITHOUT a ladder. It's magic I tell you and for now I want things hanging on my ceiling at all times. Haha!
Here is my ceiling. My class made these cute hearts. My across the hall partner, Paula, did them and I loved hers. I want to be just like her when I grow up! You just cut six different sized heart templates and construction paper to match each size. I gave each table a different heart template to work with, one at a time. When they were done with one heart, I gave them the next. We did this whole group and it took us about 20 minutes. When we were done, I told them to layer them largest to smallest. That's academic right? ๐ Colors, shapes, and big words! Score!!
So, I don't have very involved parents this year. I don't have a room mom. Sadsville. I think I had four parents come to our holiday party. That is not normal for me. Anyway, I don't expect much help for our Valentine Party so I am in planning (and purchasing) mode. I'm okay with this. I love my little class family.
Thursday, we are going to make these cute love bug hats to wear on Friday. I think if we wait until Friday to do them, it will take too long because we all know that passing out Valentines takes For.Ev.Er! I don't have a pattern for this. I just used poster board to create a few heat templates. It's pretty simple. Lines and hearts people!
Casey is modeling it for me. Isn't she cute?!
Two of my teammates are making these Valentine cards with bingo daubers. I haven't decided what we are doing for cards yet. I guess I will have to decide that TODAY. Aren't these cute?
For our party on Friday, I went to the Dollar Tree and bought plates, napkins and table clothes. Adorbs! I also got these super cute straws from Michael's for our cherry 7UP floats. We are making these fun red sparkly pipe cleaner heart eye glasses too. They should be fairly easy and mess free. For our game, I made blank bingo boards for the kids to fill in CVC words from a list I provide them. Then I bought a box of candy hearts for each of them to play BINGO with. It's not the most magical party in the world but we will have fun. We always do. I puffy heart loves those little guys.
Well that's all I got for now. Just a few ideas just in case you were up a creek like I was 12 hours ago looking for a Valentine paddle. Have a great day. Stay warm. I'm so over this weather! It's not supposed to be this cold in TEXAS! Come on Spring!!
Love and virtual hugs!

Love the heart and the hat! So cute. If we get the snow they are calling for we won't be back at school this week. But I hadn't planned anything bc of weather. I'm filing these ideas away for next week. Maybe?
