The 100th day of school is always super FUN! We try to squeeze so much in to one day, it’s ridiculous! I on the other hand have done 100th day stuff all week this year. We are still not done with the books we make. Here are a few pics of our day.
This is how my next door neighbor decorated her door. For me to do this, I would need to get to school early, as in BEFORE I am supposed to be there. That usually does NOT happen. I know driving thirty minutes is not a long time for most but getting out of the house by 7:00 each morning is challenging when you have crazy teenagers at home who are also getting ready for school.
Each student brings a bag of 100 items. We send home a note and a bag a week before our celebration. We get out the 100’s charts so students can count each other’s items. My teammate, Paula, took it a little further. She took some away from a few bags and added items to a few bags so not all would equal 100. Then the graphed their results. LOVE!
I just LOVE the big visual of counting by 1's, 5's, & 10's. Thanks for sharing!!! Amber ~ Kindergarten Rocks Blog
I LOVE your 100th day Idea. Ours is the day after we get back from Spring break, on the 25th! There are so many good ideas out there it's going to be SO hard to pick the ones my first graders will have the most fun with.
