Greetings friends! Tomorrow is the 100th day of school. I
am SOOOOOOO excited. I would have added 100 O’s to my SOOOO but that could have
been overkill. Haha! I have everything ready for tomorrow but I also feel so
unprepared. There is just so much to do!
Here is a pic of one of my favorite teams (outside of my own of course)
rocking their 100th day shirts from my store. Love! Love! Love!

Oh my goodness, what a week. Seriously, I am not sure how I made it. Let’s
recap. Last Thursday, I picked Debbie
Clement up from the airport in Austin. She spent the night with me and went to
my school on Friday. She was AMAZING! Seriously, if your school ever gets the
chance to have her come, you need to jump on it. The kids and teacher just loved her. She is a precious jewel and every child should
get to sit in one of her presentations.

She
spent the night at my house on Friday and Saturday too. It was interesting to
let one of my blogging friends in on my own crazy world. My kids loved her. Grace and I gave her iPhone 101. She is ready to conquer the world now. I loved how she interacted with Joseph. I definitely learned a few new mommy
tricks. Sunday, after church, we drove
down to San Marcos to check in and get ready for the Texas Kindergarten Conference.
That night we had dinner with KimJordano and Deanna Jump. I met Kim last
summer and Deanna and I have been friends for a few years so it was fun
catching up.

Monday I attended the conference, which is always nice to get a
few new teaching ideas. Tuesday, I
presented all day and if I am being completely honest, I LOVED IT!! Seriously,
if you had asked a few years ago if I would ever want to be a presenter, I
would have said heck no. Now, I don’t know. I think it’s really fun and love
meeting so many people. I am super excited to present at I Teach K and Frog Street Splash this summer too. I have been asked by a few districts if I would do professional development for schools during the summer. Absolutely! If you are interested in that, just email me for more details. Here are a few conference pictures. 🙂

Speaking of presentations!!! The brochure for Frog Street Press
Splash Conference came on Friday (emailed) and check this out!! I am super excited to help host
the pajama party this year. If you are in or around Texas, you should totally
make plans to come to San Antonio this summer.
The conference is so much fun!

What else? I got home Tuesday night from the conference and then took my class on a field trip to the RODEO on Wednesday. Oh what fun! They loved it!! Here is a pic of what Texas field trips are like!
Oh, I had this pocket chart at the conference with a George Washington & Stephen F. Austin sort. If you teach in Texas, it is part of our Kindergarten TEKS. Anywho, I didn't save it when I created it for my classroom but several teachers asked for it so I posted it for FREE on TPT. Click the picture below to grab it.
If you haven't entered to win the gift card to TPT, make sure you check out my post from Friday. Freebielicious is giving away over $300 worth of TPT gift cards. Don't miss you!!
I will be back later with more pics of our winter fun and our 100th day of school celebration. Keep calm and teach on!
Love and virtual hugs.

I was able to see you present on Tuesday too! I was DYING to chit chat and get a picture with you after the presentation, but so was the rest of the room and we had to hit the road! I would love to meet another time! It was great to hear a Texas teacher presenter. I came back and turned crazy on my kids and made them use 5 colors in their pictures. I LOVE IT! I'll have to send you a picture of the little anchor chart we made. Happy 100th Day!
Yeehaw! Teaching in Texas
