Simple January Crafts and Writing Activities

This Simple January Crafts and Writing Activities set is perfect for kindergarten, prek, first grade, etc. It includes SEVEN simple, one-page crafts meant to supplement your January or winter units. There is no need to print on colored paper or multiple pages. To create each craft, students will color, cut, and glue the parts together. They can also glue them to an additional page if you want them to. This set is perfect when teaching about winter, animals, holidays (including New Year’s Eve, New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day, etc.)

For each craft, there are at least three printable writing prompts/activities and a Resource List with free YouTube links to videos of read alouds, songs, etc. that correspond with the specific topic that you can use in class or for virtual teaching. Crafts in this unit include:

• penguin,
• polar bear,
• cocoa cup with marshmallows,
• heart and hands for Martin Luther King Day,
• New Years person with party hat, and
• mittens and a snowman (different from the December crafts set).
