It’s Teacher Appreciation Week and you know I love me some teachers. They are my favorite peeps in the whole wide world! Make sure you stop by everyday this week for a giveaway you don’t want to miss! So, day one…here we go….
We all know that I struggle with my weight. I have been on the fluffy side since I was born. Seriously—9 lbs. 10 ozs. out of the chute and growing ever since. Ha! I also have PCOS, which doesn’t help statistically, blah, blah, blah.
Anyways, I’ve been working out for three weeks and trying really hard to not look like a beached whale this summer. So, I wanted to let you know about something new that I’ve been trying.
My sister told me about Icon Meals a few weeks ago, and my husband and I have been ordering them for five weeks now. I loved them so much after the first week that I decided to become an affiliate—honestly, I wanted a code to save money because that’s how I roll. #keepinitreal
Anyways, Icon Meals are out of Dallas, Texas, and the food is all fresh, not processed, and none of that bad for you stuff. You place your order online. Meals range from $6 to $8 ea., and you decide your delivery date. My husband and I usually choose to have them delivered on Tuesday, which means they are made on Monday and shipped out Monday night. They’re overnighted in a foam cooler in dry ice, and we get them Tuesday. They are very cold and semi-frozen, and go right into the fridge for the week, or sometimes we order a few extras that we’ll put in the freezer for later or for next week if it’s a favorite because they rotate their menu every week. I love that it is all very high-protein food. They cook lean meats, and it’s just really good. We are on week five of ordering meals from Icon Meals, and right now, especially at the end of the school year, I am out of my mind crazy and don’t have time to meal prep, which is something I usually do for my husband and I every week because we do try to watch what we eat.
I told one of the teenage boys at our church this weekend that my arms are really sore because I had arm day yesterday, and he kind of looked at me like, “you lifted candy bars?” because I am on the fluffy side. I said, “I know; it doesn’t look like I work out every day, but I actually do and do have muscles somewhere in my body.” Ha! #strugglebus
If you want to try it out, here’s the link and the website. Use the code KREATIVE, and you’ll get 10% off of your total order. Sweet! My favorites are the Protein Pizza, which I actually roll up into this burrito thing (I know it’s weird), Brisket Tacos, every kind of protein pancake and the protein cake balls (which really help with my sweet tooth…also known as my arch nemesis). Let’s also talk about the Peanut Butter and Jelly y’all. When I saw that, I was like, “I am not paying $7 for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. This is crazy!” But then I did. Oh. My. Goodness—this is the best sandwich and most protein-filled sandwich I have ever eaten in my life in the history of ever. It’s also great for on the go, so if I’m running errands on the weekend, it’s something I can bring with me and it doesn’t have to be microwaved. Since I’m trying to maintain a low calorie count each day, this is a way I can really monitor what I’m putting into my body. I also know that it’s not processed junk. It’s good food from a company that really cares about your body and keeping you healthy and what you’re putting in it.
Here are a few pictures of some of my favorite meals, and if you have any questions please ask. This is something I would strongly recommend if you were trying to get on a healthy lifestyle but you’re getting sucked into the hustle and bustle of life and need something convenient.
And, because I want you to try it, I’m giving away TWO $25 gift certificates to Icon Meals! All you have to do is *Become An Insider by signing up for our newsletter and never miss a thing! Sign up to receive new posts, freebies and more.
Comment below with one meal you would like to try too! I will choose two winners from that email list on Friday, May 7th! Easy peasy y’all! Let’s survive the end of the year together without eating stuff that will make us sick and tired. Ain’t nobody got time for that!

Chicken
Protein Pizza! Any of it really!
I was just diagnosed with PCOS a few months ago, it’s been a rocky road for me! This would help greatly!
I love the protein component. What about the sugars/carbs? This seems like it would be so easy to eat healthier. I go buy at the store with the best of intentions to prepare and cook fresh and end of letting half of it go bad.
At first the protein pizza sounded great, but then I became interested in the PB&J! This would be awesome to have at the beginning or ending of be year, ya know, when we are all crazy!
Chick and broccoli 😉
Any of them! I’m doing the 21 day fix now and am always looking for easy healthy meals.
Would love to try the pizza or steak. I am 2 months postpartum with my 2nd and need to find new ways to get this weight to budge.
