Description
In this Onset and Rime Clip Card Activities set, students will use a clothespin to clip the correct letter for the onset (beginning sound) or the rime (the rest of the word after the beginning sound). I would suggest printing on cardstock and laminating for longevity. If you do not want to print in color, select grayscale on your printer selections.
What is Onset and Rime?
- The onset is the initial phonological unit of any word(beginning sound). Ex. /d/ in dog.
- The rime is the rest of the word, usually a vowel and final consonants, Ex. /og/ in dog.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Make sure you check out the BUNDLE to save big. Happy teaching!
