Stuck at Home Children’s Book
Any parent or educator who has ever heard the words, “I’m bored!” will love this light-hearted story by best-selling author, Crystal Radke. Stuck at Home children’s book was inspired by my two-year-old son, Bennett, who has the most amazing imagination and sense of wonder, but struggled during the pandemic. As we have navigated the pandemic of Covid-19, it certainly has changed us and effected every member of our family, even down to the littlest child.
I hope all children find adventures wherever they are, even when they are “stuck at home.” Cheers to the parents and educators helping children embrace creativity, imagination and play. They are only little once.
About The Book
When young Benny is tired of being stuck at home, his mom reminds him of the gift he has with his imagination and with a little thought and creativity, there were many adventures to be had. Together they go on a magic carpet ride, create a boat to see if it will float, build a fort to read by flashlight and so much more. What Benny doesn’t realize is that he is also learning along the way.
With rhyming wordplay and adorable illustrations by Nikki Casassa, children and parents will enjoy this delightful story that will encourage young learners to think outside the box. Adventure awaits and Benny teaches us that there is so much fun to be had. Read all about Benny’s adventures, and then get ready to go on your own.
After you read the book, download these adorable printables to work on at home. Where would you go on a magic carpet ride? Have you ever played the alphabet game at home? Now’s your chance!

Lastly, but certainly not least, we are also so thankful to Nikki with Melonheadz Illustrating for bringing our story to life. Nikki and I have been virtual friends for about eight years and met in person for the first time in 2014. I am a better person for knowing her. Her heart and talents are such a blessing to so many around the world! She was so supportive during the adoption process of Bennett and has loved him since before he was born. God certainly knew what he was doing when he planted the seeds of our friendship and we hope to bring you more Benny books in the future so stay tuned.
