Are you back in the swing of things? The word on the street is that
some of you had snow days all week. Bless your heart being forced to have a
longer break. Haha! I think I would go stir crazy though. I hope you have
shoveled your way out and stayed safe and warm.

I really enjoyed my winter break. For the first time, I took down my
tree right after Christmas. At first I
thought I was crazy, but I sure did enjoy my week with no cleaning (other than
every day pick up) or pack up of holidays.
We went to the theater and saw a ton of movies on the break. I am not
critic, but here are my reviews:

Frozen: LOVED IT! Such a cute family movie.
Madea’s Christmas: SO funny. Saw it twice.
Catching Fire: SO good that I went home and read the third book!
Book Keeper: Okay..too long I thought so it dragged but good story.
Saving Mr. Banks: Love! Love! Love! I really didn’t know what to
expect since it was PG 13. I am a total Disney girl. My daughter (she is 17)
and I went to see it. We loved it. She even cried. Such a great story and a
perfect date movie (in my opinion).

Walking with Dinosaurs: I did not care for this movie but my boys
loved it. I’m sure kids like it. I usually LOVE kid movies but this one, not so
much.

I have been CRAZY busy getting ready for the Texas Kindergarten
Conference. I am presenting four sessions (science, math, social studies, and
writing). A lot of work goes in to each presentation and I want to make sure it’s
good stuff. Are you coming? I am getting excited.

I did a lot of classroom cleaning and organizing this week. Whenever
my kids were in the zone working, I was working too. I feel good and ready for
this semester. That makes me happy, happy, happy!

I haven’t created a new product in a while, but I did create this

I only like
to make what I can use and this is something that I have needed for a
while. I needed printables that I can use all year long in case of an emergency. I don’t work where I live and sometimes
I can’t go up to school when I am sick. My team is super great and totally
takes care of me. I email them and they print out my stuff for me. It’s usually
a paper from this set and a paper from that set. Now, I will have one go to file
to fill my sub tub with so they won’t have to always pick up my slack. This set covers several math and ELA objectives and is not thematic. J

Last night was my niece’s sweet 16.
We had so much fun! It was very over the top. It was a combo of a late quinceanera
and her sweet 16. She came in on a
helicopter. My brother in law’s friend has one so that came in handy. I am so tired today though. I think I dropped it a little too low though
because my hip hurts. Haha! #oldpeopleproblems I am currently sitting on the couch with a heating pad,
my laptop, and Chinese food. Not such a bad way to spend the evening but I
could do without the old people problems.
