This was so fun! After spending a week learning all about shapes, we first made individual shape murals. Each student was given a
bag full of shapes cut from construction paper and they made their own mural. Then, at the end of the week, I cut out a huge pond and glued it to a large piece of yellow paper. Then, I filled a table full of all shapes in all sizes and colors. Each student was allowed to come over to the table and take a few shapes to make something to go on our neighborhood mural. Then, they chose where to glue it. I think it turned out super cute and they were SO PROUD!!
What a wonderful idea–that's one awesome mural!
Thanks! 🙂 It was fun to do.
