I am a big fan of The Lion King. I can sing every song. My favorite part of going to Animal Kingdom is getting to watch the musical production of The Lion King. I was fourteen years old when the movie debuted and honestly, I can’t count how many times I have seen it. It’s one of those timeless Disney movies that I watched numerous times with my children as they have grown up.
Disney is the gift that keeps on giving. In January of 2016, Disney Junior launched a new series called The Lion Guard. The Lion Guard features Simba’s son Kion, who is destined to rule the Pride Lands. Kion learns that his destiny no only includes ruling the land but also protecting it as he becomes the leader of The Lion Guard.
The series is entertaining for all ages and includes fun songs and tons of humor. It’s totally cool that I am 37 and often tune in to be entertained by Kion and his friends, right? Some days you just need to escape to Disney. Luckily, all of my children are also Disney super fans.
Last week, (January 9, 2017) Disney released the DVD of THE LION GUARD: THE RISE OF SCAR, which includes five episodes of Disney’s “The Lion Guard.” Today we are sharing a few activity sheets so you can print and play at home with your kids. Click any image to download the set.
“Be prepared for the Rise of Scar! With the arrival of the Dry Season, tensions run high, patience wears thin and thirsty tempers flare. To make matters worse, Janja’s hyenas, aided by Ushari the snake, discover a secret that could bring back the vengeful spirit of the legendary villain, Scar!”
Download the activities and buy the movie for a fun family day. These beloved characters will entertain your family as you sing along and laugh the night away. This is definitely a must own movie to add to your family movie library.
