You love random right? Of course you do or else you wouldn’t read my blog. I mean, I am one squirrel away from the nut house at any moment. So here it goes.
Aren’t these so stinking cute? My teammate displayed these in the hall when we read Brown Bear. Students made their own bear and added a speech bubble that said, ” I see _________ looking at me.”
These are my sight word buses. I keep them on a ring that hangs on a gigantic thumbtack on my calendar so I remember to use them everyday. We sing…”The sight word on the bus says can, can can,..can, can, can. The sight word on the bus says can, can, can…c-a-n spells can.” We do this several times a day with a few words each time. I *think* it helps them learn to read and spell the words.
I know y’all say that I am creative sometimes but my team is the bomb dot com. This cute display is from another teammate. I already showed you my Humpty Dumpty art but this is what Paula did across the hall. They trace their own hands and feet for their Humpty Dumpty. What a great way to integrate fine motor skills. Love it!
At the beginning of the year, I showed you my very blank walls. This is what my resource wall looks like right now. It is slowly filling up with charts we make in class.
Well, that is all I have right now. Confession, I have watched three Christmas movies today on the Hallmark channel. I also cooked for the week, went to church, did some laundry too but mostly my body is confused bc of the time change and I really just need to hibernate..only to come out to drink hot chocolate. Who’s with me?
