Last
summer, we did a blog hop book study on The Daily Five. I am so excited about
this summer's book. Guided reading is something that I consider my greatest
weakness so I am pumped to dive into this book, create, and share with you. I'm
teaming up with my blogging besties from
Freebielicious to
make this happen. So, buy your book and get ready for some edumacational fun!

NYC late last night. I went as a chaperone for Grace's HS band trip. 32 High- schoolers,
eight adults=Fun times! Here are a few pics from

My
crazy girl! Love her!!
crazy girl! Love her!!
It
was kinda a
hot mess. Four hour plane delay on the way there (did I mention we got to the
airport FOUR hours early?), traffic, RAIN, freezing cold (I had to buy a
hoodie), traffic, oh and traffic. Haha! And,
I think our bus was broke so we didn't go over 50 which was terrible since we
stayed at a hotel in New Jersey. SMH! I had a migraine the last day. Of course
we got to the airport four hours early (not sure why, redonkulous but
no one asked me). I had to wear sunglasses inside the airport (which I think looks
ridiculous) and hold Grace's arm so she could walk me around because I couldn't
open my eyes. It was kinda
awful. Grace said I looked hungover…always
a good look for a chaperone! NOT! For the record, though at times I would have
loved a glass of wine, I obviously did not have one. Anywho, the
trip costed way more than it was worth but to a highschooler,
those memories were priceless. I did
get to see Phantom of the Opera, which was amazing (and I am not a fan of opera
music). That's it for now.

For
those of you have asked, my son is doing much better. His blood count levels
have maintained which means he is no longer bleeding internally. He
is on medication and already had one appt this
week and will have another next week. Thanks for your prayers!

Ahhh, high schoolers. I think you're right about the priceless memories–my oldest is about to be a senior next year. I'm already missing him and he doesn't even leave for college for another year! Glad to hear that your son is doing better–hang in there!

Too much fun! I am sure the "kids" loved every minute…well, maybe not every cold, rainy, delayed minute..but all of the rest of them! So glad you got to experience that with your daughter. I do miss those days. I was just tagged on facebook by one of my daughter's friends…"Hey, I saw this and thought of you and your mom!" It was an "antique" video box for making movies! And they graduated in '99! Glad you got back safely and so glad your son is doing well.

Just ordered the book. Ready to tackle GR in K, too. Looking forward to it!

I love this book! I read it for a book study during the last school year. That's where I first learned about Daily Five. I followed along with the D5 study last summer and I've been busy turning others on to it this school year. Can't wait to follow you guys through this summer's study and hear everyone's insights!

I am very enjoyed for this blog. I feel strongly about it and love learning more on this topic. If possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more information? It is extremely helpful for me
