Winter Fine Motor Hands-On Activities
Winter fine motor activities are perfect for your young learner. Hands-on learning is so important for fine motor development.
These hands-on activities are a great way to combine academics and fine motor skills. This set includes twelve different center options with an academic focus on counting, colors, shapes, critical thinking, tracing and simple addition. I would print on cardstock and laminate for longevity.
•Pgs. 3-7 Playdough Mats w/ Numbers & Ten Frames 1-10
•Pgs. 8-11 Picture Playdough Mats
•Pgs. 12-16 Geoboards
•Pgs. 17-21 Lego Mats
•Pgs. 22-26 Pom Pom Mats (use plastic tweezers or chopsticks to strengthen fine motor skills)
•Pgs. 27-31 Snap Cubes
•Pgs. 32-36 Popsicle Sticks
•Pgs. 37-41 Pattern Blocks
•Pgs. 42-46 Mazes (laminate and have students use dry erase markers to complete)
•Pgs. 47-51 Tracing (laminate and have students use dry erase markers to complete)
•Pgs. 52-53 Sort pom poms on the correct color using tweezers or tongs
•Pgs. 54-59 Cocoa counting (use a die and marshmallows or white poms)
