Hello Kinder Friends! Some of you may know me, but for my new friends, I am Kaci from
I am so happy that Crystal let me come talk over here for a bit! She is SUPER busy and I happily said I would come take over her space for a day 🙂 So lets get down to it!
Supply Organization…. dun dun dun.
Am I the only one that heard the dun dun duns? This is a scary thing, and for Kindergarten, Aye Yi Yi! Don’t go running for the hills, this will be my fourth year doing supplies this way, and it works!
Lets talk table supplies first. Each table has one of each of these. This is what we use when we are sitting at our tables. They are not allowed to go to centers or the carpet.
A “special” caddie and a “daily” caddie. (Please excuse my lack of school supplies, it is July and I haven’t gone shopping yet!)
-
Daily Caddie: Holds two pencils per child, two boxes of crayons and a handful of erasers.
-
Special Caddie: Holds just enough glue and scissors so each child has one, and a handful of glue sticks. I am very picky about scissors. Unlike in the picture, they have to match their table color.
Personal Supplies only come out when we are in centers or doing carpet work. They each have their own:
Bag of Markers. Their markers only come out for “special” times. Their bag holds their markers, so if they leave the lids off, they are responsible for them, or if they lose them, they will have to borrow a friends. Each bag has the student’s name on it.
Each child also has their own crayon box. There are crayons, maybe a pencil and eraser. That is it. Like their caddies they are color coded. They each have a small dot on the top that matches their table. (More for me than anything else)
Now you might ask. Where do these guys live during the day?
Tada! (Please ignore the computers, still not sure if that is where they will live all year or not.) Each table is a color. Red, Yellow, Green or Blue. Each item has a special cubby.
Top Drawer: “Daily” Caddie
Middle Drawer: “Special” Caddie
Bottom Drawer: Personal Crayon Box and Markers
Now my Kinderoos have everything they could ever want…Right?
Wrong. What about when we are on the carpet and all need scissors and clipboards? I have a solution to that!
This is my catch all! It has extra school supplies in the purple and blue, and math manipulatives in the green and pink. My kids can go grab anything they need at any given time. Need cubes during centers? Go grab some! Need Bingo Daubers? You know where they are! Once I teach them how to use this, they don’t need to ask me for anything else all year!
And you can’t see, but right next to the catch all is where I keep all my clipboards. Easy Peasy to grab, kids can take them to work where ever they need to go!
I hope that helped some of you! Now for the exciting part. See those cute labels?
Head over to my blog, where I have them as a freebie for Kreative in Kinder followers ONLY! (It is a paid item in my TpT store!) Thank you to Teacher Laura for making the cute clipart for this set!
Hope to see you soon!!!
