Oh my goodness! Last Friday, June 2nd was my last day of school, whoo hoo! As soon as I got home, the family loaded my car (with everything in our house I think)and we hit the road for a last minute vacation. My husband decided three weeks ago that we needed to plan (aka, ME plan) a little vaca for our family. Well, I don’t think I slept the last week of school. I was like a puppy chasing my tail. So, for the first time every, I told my kids to pack us! EEK!! My daughter, who is 14, led this undertaking along with list after list that I left. My daughter asked me the day before we left what our vaca plans were and I said, “well, we don’t have plans, it’s whatever we want to do.” Grace did a major GASP because that is so not my style but really, my super mom cape was worn and missing some letters last week. Anywho, we survived a great week at this lake house we rented on Lake Travis, which is in Austin, TX. Our clothing selections were quite comical but who cares when you have access to a private beach. I brought my laptop but only got on it once…it was my promise to my family that they would have 8 days of my full attention. We got home today and look out…I HAVE OVER 200 FOLLOWERS!! WHOO HOO!!! So, to celebrate that, I am going to give away FIVE birthday packets that I haven’t listed to sell yet on TPT. I will also give each winner one thing from my TPT store of their choice. Here is the Birthday Set:
Birthday Set(function() { var scribd = document.createElement(“script”); scribd.type = “text/javascript”; scribd.async = true; scribd.src = “http://www.scribd.com/javascripts/embed_code/inject.js”; var s = document.getElementsByTagName(“script”)[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(scribd, s); })();
You can print out stickers, birthday coupons, covers for a birthday book, and the birthday song. I thought this would be good for all grade levels. So, all you gotta do is:
1. Follow my blog & post the giveaway on your blog if you have one!
2. Follow me on Teachers Pay Teachers!
3. Leave me a comment (include what your theme is for next year if you know…yes, I am nosey!) with your email address!
4. Promise to take at least one nap during the next week because I heart you and we all could use a mental health day or at least a nap!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I am in ahhh how much this blog has blessed me and how much I am learning from each of YOU!!
Giveway ends on Monday, June 13th at midnight. ๐
P.S. To all of you fabulous bloggeristas that are doing the Math Centers book study, I am LOVING reading your blogs!Keep up the great posts!!!

I am now following you on TPT. I can't tell you what my theme will be next year because I want to see my new room at my new school ๐ before I commit….
And I definitely can't take a nap, because our last day of school isn't till Friday. Did I mention that I am busy completing the end-of-the-year slide show and making 18 copies, putting together my kiddos memory books, and, oh yes…my favorite…entering 72 different grades (on 72 different objectives) for each of my 18 students? That's 1296 end-of-the-school-year assessment pieces. *sigh* Then I have 3 days to pack up my room before summer school starts (which I'm teaching at another school). Oh boy, the fun…..

Glad you had a good time on vaca. I am following you on TPT…I can't wait to check out all your goodies.
My theme has been frogs for the past 4 years. There are so many cute frog things out there I just couldn't resist. I have even had frogs as a classroom pet. The kids love it.

I am interested in doing the detective mystery theme by Clutter Free Classrooms. Our school district is very strict on paper usage and fire codes so I won't be able to be as elaborate as others… What about you? I can't wait to see what others are planning-

Our school theme will be global missions. I've decided to split the idea into two themes that build throughout the school year. We will begin our missions through space before finding our place on Earth (Me on a Map in reverse). In the spring our missions will focus on Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and how this effects our planet. Each grade level was given a continent and each classroom on the grade level has chosen a country to learn and present at our school wide multi cultural fair.

I've subscribed through Google Reader for a while, but now I'm an official follower! And I already follow your Tpt store.
Next year I'm still deciding on my theme – I was sure I was going to do Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, but lately I'm thinking of the Very Hungary Caterpillar. Either would be fun – I just need to decide already:)
And I'm planning on a nice lazy Sunday afternoon nap later today, but as we've been out of school for 2 weeks I've have plenty of lazy days and hey – I'm even starting to get a nice tan.

My theme for next year will continue to be spots. I use polka dot border, curtains and paper. I have a poetry 'spot', reading 'spot', writing 'spot'… you get the idea. My blog is called "Spotlight on Kindergarten". The banner I hang up at the beg. of the year will say, "The Spotlight is on…" I will use this to put all the kiddos names on at the beg. and then to highlight one kiddo per week. I ordered this for free thru vista print. I also have little cards I got thru vista print that say, "Spotted being good!" I then jot a note about what I was and give it to the little darling. Our take home binders are called S.P.O.T. books. It stands for Students Prepared & Organized Today. It has been an easy theme to keep up with.

I will try to take a nap in between running 4 kids to ball games! I forgot my e-mail on the theme post! Sorry!
