Hey friends! Yay for surviving another week. Dun. Dun. Dunn. Another week bites the dust. Haha! Two more weeks until Thanksgiving Break. I can do this. I mean, YOU can do this! It really was a good week so I can't complain. I do wish we were out of school on Monday like many of the other schools but I am going to just give that one to Jesus and move on. π
So, I wanted to share my recent favorite find with you. Have you heard of Origami Owl? Oh my goodness. I am in LOVE. I love anything that tells a story. One of my teaching partners had a party two weeks ago and I bought myself one. Maybe this is something you are supposed to buy as a gift but nope, I bought myself one. Anywho, it came this week. EEK!
It came in a cute little box. When I opened the box, it had it's own little jewelry box with my necklace in it. Love! I had already decided to buy these for my mom and sister for Christmas, but having them already gift ready makes me even more excited. Raise your hand if you love Christmas shopping? Only me? I'm cool with that.
I chose my charms because they were meaningful to me. I got the “blessed” plate because honestly I thank Jesus every day for the blessings he has given me. There are two blue hears for my two sons and one purple heart for my daughter. I could have chosen birthstones but I couldn't have any other color than purple for Grace. If you knew her, you would understand. I chose a plane because I LOVE to travel and because of my blog and teaching, I have gotten to. The apple is obviously because they are my favorite fruit. Haha! I kid, I kid. I had to get it because I am a TEACHER. Shouldn't all teachers have an apple (and a wine glass)? The diamond ring represents my husband because he liked it so much he put a ring on it. Haha! Last, but not least the cross represents my faith.
The locket is magnet so you can easily change out the charms anytime you want. I love that. I plan to get a few more at my party this Sunday. I chose the blingy locket because I love anything that sparkles. You had me at bling! I can't help but be distracted by shiny objects.
So, there ya go. There's my living locket and I LOVE it. I am having a Origami Owl party at my house on Sunday. If you live in central Texas, you can come (is that sketchy to offer an invite?). If not, I am also hosting an online party too. All orders are guaranteed to be in well before Christmas so if you are looking to knock a few names off your list, here you go.
I'm totally not getting paid to give you this spill. I think I was just as excited when I built up my James Avery charm bracelet years ago. I think my “story” is something for me to cherish so this necklace makes me Happy, Happy, Happy! If you want to order, you can head over to the website by clicking HERE or click the picture below.
Ok, I am off to an evening of fun. My body is saying NOOO, you need to go to bed, but my SISTER is saying NOOO, you need to come out and play. Our dad has a classic rock band and is playing tonight. I usually don't go because I can't be around smoke with my asthma but this is a smoke free place. So Lins and I are headed out to see some live music and prob watch some terrible, I mean entertaining, dancing. Yes, we grew up with a total hipster. We always had some sort of band “studio” in our house (sometimes known as the garage) growing up. We kinda grew up being a roadies. Lol. Does that make us cooler? Probably not. We do try and support that dadster as often as we can. He sings and plays drums. I sing but no drums. I think I used to have rhythm but after recently trying zumba, um not so much anymore. Dad always told me not to marry a musician. Hahaha! Mission accomplished because my husband can't sing! He thinks he can rap on karaoke (OMG I die of embarrassment). I have to tell him to Cool It Vanilla Slice! That's a story for another day. Have a great weekend. I did take lots of pics this week so I will be back at some point this weekend.
So, do you love Origami Owl?! Love it. You really should. That is all.
Peace!

I looked into it but couldn't justify the cost (for me). Glad you found something you liked!

My children bought me one for Mother's Day. They each chose a charm to represent them and then there's a mom charm too. It's my favorite piece of jewelry…I feel like I'm carrying a little bit of each of them with me.
Love O2 (nickname for Origami Owl).

Oh my gosh! I love your necklace and I can't wait to get my Christmas shopping done!! So, if you give them as gifts, do you choose what goes inside the locket for whoever you are giving it to? Also, I tried going on the link you have and it is not letting me create a locket π This is what it is saying: "
Sorry, the Jewelry Bar site name can not be found, please check and retry."
Crystal says
Ashley, the link has been fixed. You can order now. Thanks! π
