I am going to try the colored glue and have them work on sight words. I was reading that thinking "sight words" before I got to the part you wrote! When you add the food coloring, do you shake the bottle to mix it? I've laminated the posters from Weekly Reader from years ago and use them for teaching. One I'm using tomorrow is dated 1999!
