I just went to Frog Street 2013. This is my 4 year attending and this year was better than ever. The presenter Lisa Murphy was a hit and all of her ideas and outrageous takes on how we handle our classroom were hilarious. I wanted to just sit and hear her all day. I would strongly recommend it and you don't have to bring a friend. I go every year solo. Next year it will be in San Antonio so trying to figure out my expenses for next year.

Last year I went and I didn't know anyone either and at the dinner, out of all the tables I could have been seated at, it ended up that some of the teachers and I had the same friends who were teachers. Crazy. It is so much fun. If you can go, definitely do it. You will love it!

I am new to the blog world. I have a blog set up, but do not really know how to get started…adding pictures of my classroom and such. Would love to have someone to bounce ideas off of. I have been blog stalking hehe for some time. I would love to post some of my own ideas to share with others. This will be my 11th year to teach. I have taught 1st, kindergarten, and Pre-K. I had to go to many conferences by myself, and SO dreaded it the first few times. BUT, the best thing about going to conferences designed for teachers (especially teachers of younger children) is that most people are SO friendly and welcoming. I would encourage you to go if you find you are financially able—I know you'll be surprised at what a fantastic time you'll have! 🙂 There will be so many kind and fun people there who are also there by themselves…. 🙂 You'll be glad you went!
