I did watch The Lorax during Spring Break. I invited my parents and students to join me (Parents HAD to attend) since I don't have children of my own. Of course, only 3 students showed up BUT we had a great time! They couldn't believe I was out in the "real" world :). Thank you for sharing your ideas!

Our cowboy day is the last week of January. National Cowboy Poetry Gathering is in Elko and we get all kinds of extra visitors. We had a Buck-a-roo breakfast that Friday morning. I cooked pancakes...but didn't think about making butter because we had done that for Thanksgiving. I think we should make butter again for the pancakes. Looks like fun.

Jessica, it depends on what we are learning. If it is up to me, as often as possible. We made green eggs and ham the week before too. 🙂

Made Green Eggs & Spam with my K's on Dr. Seuss' b-day and yes, I had many kids who did not know how to crack a egg....seems so odd to me as my own kids always helped me in the kitchen.

Your cowboy theme is cute...perhap I will do nursery rhyme dress up.

As fr sprin break...ours is not until April 2!

That's adorable! I have to start doing more theme days! The last one I did was polar express (before Christmas break… eek!) and the kids wore their pajamas and ate hot chocolate. One kid said, "This is the best day ever!" How often do you do the theme days?

Oh my goodness, that Humpty Dumpty is waaaaaayyy cute! I'm stealing, wait I mean borrowing the idea! I'm with Ms. Kerri, three weeks away. But since we are a Catholic school we get a half day on Holy Thursday and Good Friday off so I can't really complain.

I still have 3 more weeks til spring break including this one. Our spring break is always the week after Easter. Last year it was the last week in April. With no snow days this year, it has been a long couple of months. Cowboy breakfast looks like it was loads of fun!
